Complete Dosing Unit
Mit Water designs and fabricates complete chemical dosing units for precise injection of treatment chemicals into water and wastewater process streams. These skid-mounted packages integrate chemical storage, metering pumps, instrumentation and controls into a single, ready-to-install module.
System Description
Each dosing unit is built around a chemical storage tank constructed from HDPE, FRP or SS316L depending on chemical compatibility. Metering pumps with adjustable stroke length and frequency deliver chemicals at the required dosage rate. The system includes a calibration column, pressure relief valve, pulsation dampener and injection check valve. A PLC control panel enables flow-proportional, pH/ORP-based or timer-based dosing.
Chemicals Dosed
Our dosing units are configured for a wide variety of water treatment chemicals including coagulants (PAC, aluminium sulphate, ferric chloride), flocculants (PAM, polyelectrolyte), oxidants (potassium permanganate, sodium hypochlorite), powdered activated carbon, lime slurry, caustic soda, sulphuric acid, antiscalants and biocides. Each unit is factory-tested for chemical compatibility and dosing accuracy before delivery.
Complete dosing units serve critical functions across water and wastewater treatment plants:
- Coagulant and flocculant dosing for clarification and sedimentation
- pH adjustment using acid or caustic dosing for process control
- Oxidant dosing for iron, manganese and colour removal
- Disinfectant dosing for drinking water and wastewater
- Antiscalant dosing for reverse osmosis membrane protection
- Nutrient dosing (nitrogen, phosphorus) for biological treatment
- Powdered activated carbon dosing for taste, odour and micropollutant removal
